Investigates the pricing of pooled assets, using Monte Carlo and other option pricing techniques, as well as various trading strategies used in these markets. Surveys the personal, institutional and operational challenges involved in scaling an entrepreneurial venture. Addresses topics such as leadership, culture, operations, governance, and human resources. Includes case studies, site visits, movies, simulations and guest speakers. Seminar on founding, financing, and building entrepreneurial ventures in developing nations. Challenges students to craft enduring and economically viable solutions to the problems faced by these countries.
Successful entrepreneurs, including VCs and social impact founder-builders, are recruited to develop brief descriptions of major issues to overcome.
